**Not sure if this is the right place for this but anyway.......
Here is the prob.
I have recently changed my email and have just installed "windows live" and setup the account....that's all good to go.
The part of it all that is giving me the prob. is the "windows live messenger" part.
Every time I try and log in to it I get the following message:
WINDOWS LIVE COMMUNICATIONS PLATFORM has encountered a problem and needs to close.......then it closes.
I can check email using "universe toolbar" but that's it I. keep getting that error popping up if I do anything else.
I am running windows xp black build 23
ANY help accepted:please:
:thanks:

Guessing.... there could be something left out of the black version, unlikely though... 2) Uninstall WinLive, restart computer, re-download LiveInstaller and reinstall... don't forget to keep your eyes crossed for good luck... hehe - Let me know what happens wingrs.

its best to stick with a copy of xp pro corporate edition... not those edited ones.. i would say something is wrong in windows... bad dll... do what jaw says and if that does not work try system restore or you may have to use another version of windows (if your interested i have a legit xp pro corp key + a real sp2 & sp3 cd)

I would try what jaw60 suggested first, if that doesn't work then it's probably a Windows issue, you may need to format and re-install, or to use a regular XP Pro or something similar as owen420 has already suggested.
